We're selling many different items including kitchen
wares, with the unusual designs, candles, cleaning
supplies, a large variety of general hardware and
much more.
This is the beginning of a long chapter, improving all
the time by listening to what the local community
really likes “we're going with the flow”.
Listening & understanding the people of
Woodingdean and surrounding areas is our primary
goal.
We always wanted to give back the missing touch of
trading: being able to speak to a knowledgeable
person when you need something
We will be offering a loyalty card discount scheme so
please ask about this when you visit.
How it all started:
Johny (my partner) and I decided to open a small
retail shop about 3+ years ago, so we saved & saved
and sold many items from my home and moved to a
1 bedroom flat.
About 3 Years later, we’re here in Woodingdean, up
and running!
About us:
Johny (John Baker 45 years old) was born and raised
in Mile Oak, Portslade. Johny’s family have lived in
this area for the last three generations.
Johny’s background is human resources but recently
move to the clinical side.
As for myself my name is Gilles Guichard also 45
years old, born in France, so I’m told,but didn’t stop
there!
I lived in America for 17 years, and then got
transferred to the UK 6 years ago.
My previous job involved traveling around the world,
so I am full of cultural experience (good & bad).
I come from a social economic & financial
background in I.T. and still run a consulting business
parallel to Johny’s Wares Ltd
Our aims:
We are very proud of ourselves. We've invested
everything we’re got into this fantastic & exciting
adventure (Morally, Physically, Financially &
everything else in between…)
We're confident to bring Woodingdean community
the extra touch well deserved.
Feel free to come inside, look around, take your time,
without any pressure.
We're both very friendly and will do our best to help
you find what you need.
Our store has a customer toilet, which anyone is free
to use, (you don't need to buy anything).
